Most of my main works can take between 20 or 30 hours to complete so it's not really possible for me to have an every day schedule. Do you have any recommendations for what to do if I can make pictures at most once a week?

Sketches! However, with that stuff its a good idea to space out it. Another thing you could do is teaching TUTORIALS! Perspective, color, detail, that sort of thing. Focus on what makes you, you!

Tutorials sounds like a lot of fun, but I have no idea if people would be interested. XD I think that might be tomorrows question for people if they'd be interested in that.

Just do what feels right for you bud. I just wanna learn more from you and see everything that you can do!

I'm a nobody so my word is nothing, but I find new artists if they are using the tags or 'category/theme' correctly, but I've also found quite a few artists by randomly clicking on people's accounts in comment sections or looking through people's favorites. Although I agree with Dialuca that posting daily (or spam art from a two months in one day *cough* t-bone *cough*) is probably the best call or posting weekly (like the P.R.E.Y. comic) or posting W.I.P. like Thesociallyawkwardpinguin does. /$0.02

You don't need to worry about being well known to give your opinion. All opinions are welcome here! I think I'm currently leaning towards getting back into making PREY and trying to post a page once a week. Though I probably won't be able to keep to that schedule completely it seems like something with-in my power. It also seems like more people were reading it than I thought. I kind of initially got the impression no one cared about it.

You should either do what apron55 does (by asking "please leave a comment" for feed back, but im going to go out on a limb and guess people will stop replying seeing that every post) or do what GigaTiger does (I like his "choose your own adventure" way of doing a comic, gets a lot of user engagement and can help prevent artist block and "no one likes my art" a problem I've seen happen with lots of artists)... however using your journal page like this I think is the best for general user engagement to see what your followers would like to see more of.

Also do what Dialuca recommends, I personally love sketches even if you just put them into the scrap folder its better than the bin.

Cool, thanks for all the ideas and references. I don't really think I can go for something as direct as choose your own adventure, but I think just allowing people to suggest ideas would be good for everybody. And I have a few sketches saved up I can post, but I rarely don't finish a picture so I don't have a ton.

I guess as someone who seems to be doing a good enough job of not getting too much attention, getting your name out more would probably help you a lot more. Doesn't have to be ads, could simply be leaving comments more often on stuff from other people upload that you like. Sketchdumps posted every now and then could be good as well. Dunno how often you do comment, but if the only things coming from your account are a couple uploads a month, that's not very many opportunities for someone to find you.

I want to leave comments on people's stuff all the time but I never know what to say. I always worry I'll look like a giant weirdo especially since so much of the stuff I like is NSFW. Though I guess letting that hold me back is me being a bit of a hypocrite because I always desperately want people to comment on my stuff. x.x
