I’m missing someone… Hope he is ok.
Also I have an interesting challenge to all that read this. If you’re willing write one paragraph, 5 or more sentences, describing the weather outside and try to have it follow the mood or feeling that you get when you look at it. Post it here (journal or under the submission) as a reply if you’d like or on your page and link it.
If this goes pretty well I might be willing to try more interactive stuff in the future.

“This is the story of my Pokesona, Mediteral. Searching for his mother who is believed to be dead, as well as facing discrimination from being a hybrid and wearing a skull believed to have belonged to his mother.”

“Here's a little experiment I did, utilizing Kyell G's method of storytelling. I got the idea when reading Out of Position.”

“There are things that one requires, that not even his mate can promise him. It doesn't have to be erotic things. Something as simple, even, as holding your loved one and telling him that he will always be safe in your hands. For some odd reason, I will never have that simple luxury. This feeling is not unlike being stranded in barren waters, where you are alone and helpless, save your own tenacity. This is a poem describing such feelings.”

The sun shined down on the earth bearing its heat on the lower life forms. While the breeze played against the plants and trees adding to the music of the streets. Through the leaves gently waving in the breeze, hidden in the shadow they cast I sit. A bottle of water in one had an ipod in the other panting lightly. Damn I shouldn’t go running near noon anymore...

The brilliant sun shone down, bathing the world in blistering heat. Cicadas sing their lonely song, the only background noise to the quiet, rolling plains. Mesquite trees dot the landscape, providing poor shade, their thorns making it a dangerous shelter from the sun's heat. No other human anywhere nearby, I am finally at peace with the world, as I play my ocarina with the cicada's tune to find a harmony which one simply cannot find in the hustle and bustle of a city.

Every time I walk past the thermostat in the main hallway of my house, it looks like the outside temperature has climbed another three degrees. Three degree jumps, every half hour; it's well into the triple digits now and it's only noon. The sky is cloudless, an endless antiseptic blue everywhere. I wish my pool were that color too. I don't dare go outside without a covering on my head and a covering on my feet, as the concrete punishes with its stored heat as much as the sun does.

The weather is always changing. It seems like mother nature can't decide is she wants us burn under the sun or drown us in the rain. I would sit in my room during a sunny day and in the blink of an eye, it would become a downpour of water. Regardless of the odd weather, the clouds still find the time to make their own artsy sculptures against the backdrop of a blue sky. The weather is always changing...

Refreshing warmth falls, beautiful slivers of light pouring over shimmering tree-tops. The breeze washes over me, it's teasing fingertips making me wish for more. The only sound I can hear, is that of the golden-green whisps of foliage, whispering to eachother blithely as the cool breeze touches even them. The rays of summer touch the back of my neck, and I can feel the glare of the sun for the first time of the day. Sweat gathers like dew upon my brow, and I silently wish for a glass of water. I can feel the cold water condensing on the glass, and my mouth begins to water. I reach for my cold glass, and realize, there and suddenly, that it's not real. I sigh, my thoughts returning to reality, and prepare myself for another long day of summer heat.
