Hey fellow snake keepers, I learned a valuable lesson today. If your snake ever escapes, make absolutely sure there is no packing tape out anywhere in the home (stuck to Amazon boxes, etc). We lost our young rosy boa this morning. She had been lost in the house for a couple days, and I was awoken to a crinkling sound to find her stuck in the packing tape left on an Amazon box we had set aside to recycle. We used a natural anti adhesive to free her, but she ultimately pulled her skin wide open from struggling and ending up dying a few minutes later. It was something I never even thought of, and never expected would end up being fatal. It was pretty horrific and not something I would want anyone else to experience.
