2016 Boo at the Zoo? Did I miss it?

I haven't heard anything about there being a furmeet at John Ball Zoo around Halloween this year. Most years it's been either two weekends or one weekend before the actual holiday. Halloween is a week away, so did I miss it? I really hope I didn't miss it, I think I've been to it every year we've had such a furmeet. Please let me know if you know anything about it.

To my knowledge there are no zoo boo meets this year. I usually get the invites on FB. I thought I saw something about us not being able to go in fullsuit or something like that because of the clown BS so no one wanted to go to JBZ.

They are planning it for next weekend. Hyler and I were going to go this past weekend. But I was told by JBZ staff that they were not allowing masks this year because of the clown stuff going on.

I think JBZ is being overly cautious. The Chicago zoo allowed masks at their Boo at the Zoo event. They had a HUGE amount of fursuiters at their meet. I really don't see any reason to go to JBZ Boo at the Zoo if we can't wear our fursuits.

Hmm, seems like these replies are contradicting each other. You and Smoketail say there's no meet, but Sanura says there is. But I agree, the idea of a furmeet at a public place like a zoo without fursuits almost defeats the purpose. Maybe there's someplace we can go and do something that allows fursuits? I'd love to make something of the weekend and have my furry friends involved.
