Don't say racial slurs and then follow up with your racial slurs by insinuating that genocide should be committed against an entire people/nation.

Just. Don't.

I appreciate everyone who comments and likes my art. I'm endlessly happy that people like my art. Genuinely. But I would really appreciate if people could abstain from posting slurs on my page and then when gently corrected not to use those slurs, telling me an entire people should be murdered. I get enough of that kind of bullshit in conservative central Jersey.

Just making this journal so that if anyone ever gets blocked/banned from my page, they know why.

I just. I doubt that person was even alive for the conflict in question. Why do you have such a personal vendetta against millions of people? I've just never understood the logic.

For real. Like I'm not one for deleting a comment just because it has something I find distasteful. At first I was gonna delete the comment, but then I was like nah I'll do a subtle correction and accept the comment without being rude and just deleting without explanation. Then...that happens and the person bans me from responding. Not sure what they were trying to prove by blocking me from replying, but it's fine. All the comments are gone now. But jeez. Let's talk about fun furry art, gaizzzzz

Or actually informing THE police if the situation is serious.

The disadvantage of blocking is that the blocked ones will just hate you more, and will feel justified to be even more evil.

Yeah it really is. Most of the internet isn't navigatable anymore without some sort of Ad Blocker. Maybe turn one on? :0 either way it's not a huge deal. Just someone being a bit of a jerk.

As if by declaring 'war' this would make murder somehow acceptable.

There is another nation that spent well over a hundred years killing millions of non-combative civilians without ever having officially declaring war on them....only after the fact did they call it 'war'. Can anyone guess which one it is?

Right? I get that it's an egregious thing between nation states, but killing in the name of war doesn't exactly make you, the nation-state, much better morally.

And actually, the 'war' you're talking about, I think war was officially declared a few times? I mean they were more isolated wars, but still wars and called that as they happened. I know the call for genocide was on multiple federal and state papers, so...JUST SAYIn <_<

Yes, this is true, there were many wars. Too many to count. The federal and state govt typically referred to these wars as 'campaigns' or 'policies' .. the actual declaration of war was a rarity mentioned almost entirely as ex post facto in history books.

I apologize if I made it sound as if the U.S. is exclusive to this behaviour.

Just a bit. It's just going from zero to a hundred that's a bit much for me when i tried to be nice/passive about it. It was my attempt to focus on the comment about the art while not accepting the use of a slur. The reaction was super radical, if that's what you mean, at least to me.

Eh. I think they knew what they said was super radical and didn't want to hear it. Or maybe they thought I was ~un-American~ for - god forbid - not enjoying racial slurs against former enemies of the US (tho we're allies with the Japanese now so??? I don't understand, lol)

Seriously? Should we begin to count the bodies his country has piled up in other countries (and their own)? You want to hold a grudge THAT long? Are people so bored they want to dig up history and claim it's their motive for being so ignorant, and vile?
I am just... WOW. I cannot fathom how much hatred live among the US, and it never ceases to amaze me.

And YOU, kind sir, handled that WITH CLASS. Just beyond me, it is.

For real. It's too much pot calling the kettle black for me. Like, pretty much any country can point at another and be like "remember that time you did [x]?" but trying to justify some of the shit that went down in WWII is always....a futile experiment. @_@
Lol the hate is boiling over here, yo. Let's just say I'm glad I have status in Canada until 2018 and intend on making that status permanent. @_@
