Being that The Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney animated movies, I'm really looking forward to this. It looks like it will be a more in-depth retelling of the original Disney version of The Jungle Book (though I'd love to see a movie version of the original book's stories). Hopefully it'll be a nice nostalgia trip with some new cool things to see. I'm just hoping that hearing all those familiar actors playing well-known characters won't distract me from immersing myself into the movie.
Oh, and Kaa is female in this version. Go figure. I think it can work.

They should go back to... *puts on shades* the bear necessities.
From the trend that Disney seems to be doing with their classics lately, they're not trying to "improve" it from the animated version. They just want to do a live version to bring it to a new generation of audiences, like they've done with "Malificent" and "Cinderella". "Mulan" is another one that's on the upcoming list of live-action remakes.
