Now what is this about?

Its because the freaking fatcats up in Washington decided to tax the hide off of Americans. While I believe some taxes are absolutely apperoperate (sp?) some of them are just too much for us.

An eight percent rise in the taxes of the richest people? And have you figured out just how much more you will be paying? I'd like some numbers.

its a uprising against socialism an reckless government spending. from what I've seen on national news. People are PO'ed that hard working people are paying for debts of other people.and I Agree with them. I work hard to keep my tail out of debt, not fish someone elses can from the fire.

Define socialism. Really though, what does it mean to you when you hear that word? Seems strange that you'd start bitching now seeing as all the debts were incurred over the last eight years but I understand, that Cheney guy is one scary sum-bitch!

It's a prime example of how Americans just love to bitch and moan about stuff.

We have dirt cheap taxes compared to most other countries, and a tax system that lets most middle class and under peoples get most or all of the money taken out of their paychecks refunded.

Is it punishing you? It sure isn't punishing me. Try some Euro-socialist tax rates out for a while and it won't seem so bad.

I have always done my own taxes, and compulsively keep every receipt. I don't pay any more in taxes now as an engineer than when I was in school and working part-time.

I'm actually of the opinion that the tax system really isn't quite as bad as it gets credited to being once you figure your way around it x.x;

The tax system up here I admit is unnecessarily complicated, and there was no way I could have accurately filed all my taxes without help; but I got help (cost me $200 all told) to file them... and I'm still reaping the benefits of having done so, in terms of refunds.

but then Canada is different from the U.S.A, so ehh. >.>;
