More Transformers game video!!!

Okay, still looking forward to the game but now initial hype levels have somewhat diminished from "Must have" to "enthusiastic curiosity". It looks promising enough for what it is, but hearing them confirm that Autobots are the only playable faction and that there are only five playable characters is tremendously disappointing. I'm also having difficulty reconciling the notion of a Transformers action game being primarily a brawler. This is fan bias of course and while Cybertronians do get into melee's quite a bit, firefights have always been the primary mode of engagement. Still, at least there seems to be some shooting though it's clearly not the emphasis.
It looks gorgeous though and hearing they plan to get original cast member back on board is great (Michael Bell fuck yeah!). They definitely seem to be delivering on production qualities and fan service, but that only goes so far. It looks like a fun budget title but this footage has convinced me Fall of Cybertron will still likely be the king of transformers games by year's end.
...
Also, cars peeling out in mid-air is positively idiotic looking.

I do agree that Fall of Cybertron was the best that they've had for Transformers. I'm still hoping that they make a sequel to it but I'm not expecting one to be rolled out either.

That Dark Spark game is "technically' supposed to be a sequel but considering it was a hack job by a shit developer who have only ever ported popular games to N64 and poop out crappy licensed titles, I'm happy to not acknowledge it at all. Sadly, I believe High Moon Studios were cut in half by lay-offs after the Deadpool game flopped so a proper third installment seems unlikely. But gawd it would be amazing.

Rise of the Dark Spark takes place between War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. This had been confirmed. That game was mishmash and a mistake in my opinion. Still, if we wait long enough maybe they'll give us a third and proper game to the Cybertron series.

Such is the curse of games that don't get proper advertisement. I mean yeah, Deadpool was an average game at best but I will NOT deny that I was laughing my ass off the whole time. Yet I never saw a commercial for it. Didn't see one for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine by THQ either and its DAMN good.

well you might as well kill that dream now sadly since they're pretty much now just a studio that works on clean up duty, they're doing work on Destiny ATM http://www.vg247.com/2015/05/28/des.....-moon-studios/
This is why you set your hype levels to medium bake. That way, you can go either direction. You can end up being impressed or disappointed, but never too much so you can keep your expectations in a neutral position.

I'm pretty quite to shift into medium. It's just you know how knee-jerk reactions are. X3

so Andy Schmidt is writing the story if that's an important guy XD http://www.gamespot.com/articles/me...../1100-6428241/

Schmidt won't make or break this game. It's a good thing because his history in comics isn't exactly stellar in my opinion. He's openly displayed dismay for the notion of continuity and he's tried to pass the buck on his fuck-ups. Both are pretty poor for an editor.
