Back in January, my General Manager was terminated from his job for no reason at all and with false information being laid against him in that regard. I kept a lookout for new employment for him since he was pretty much the head-of-the-household and needed money to keep his family and his failing health Mother intact. The best I was able to manage for him was getting his backstabbing known to those that worked at the stores on the grounds and a lengthy & thoroughly detailed Recommendation Letter.

Didn't know how much that R. Letter would help.

My Former Gen. Manager ran into me yesterday as I was working on the grounds with this son and told me that he was now doing well and that his Mother was in a Nursing Home being cared for. He told me that he did take the company to court and won the case against them, but then told me that I was the one that did it.

A little coverage about the crap that went on... (You can skip it)

He told me that the company had the gall to say that he did nothing and that the contract with Tanger was supposedly in Jeopardy because of his decisions (and/or lack of) and what he chose not to do. The only person that seemed to have a shaft up their a** was only one person, and he was for the Contract company. And as far as I'm concerned, his words don't mean Dick when he's not on the grounds where the work is done and doesn't understand that the area is in a far more different atmosphere than others to do things as done elsewhere. Doing things their way has slowed progress on everything that was normally done and made it even harder for others to manage to get things that needed to be handled cleaned.

Long-Story short: Lied about his performance and made him out to be the lazy reject, that they ironically stupidly hired after they dropped him, only to fire in less than a month since he wasn't there and made the AM staff do stuff that was not in their contract and was work that the Outlet hired professional groundskeepers to do.

And now to the conclusion of this tale...

He was asked for any information that would cover the allegations of this case, and he suddenly remembered my Recommendation Letter and handed it to his Case Worker. It was concrete and enough to end it all. Netted him a large sum and is still getting more.
