So I had ABSOLUTELY no intention of making it to MCFC this year, but the stars decided I needed to go! The original excuse was that sadly my Uncle passed away, and the funeral was on Friday, 350+ miles away from my home. Plans were for me to leave from work Thursday afternoon and head up to crash with family in Detroit, but I had to find a way to kill a few hours before they would be available. Much to my gleeful surprise, I realized that I would pass the Novi Sheraton on my way. I stopped in for three hours or so that evening, and I noticed just how much better I was feeling.

I stopped back in for long enough to brave the reg line on my way back home Friday afternoon (even if I wasn't going to be able to use it I still wanted one dangit!).

Friday night I called up my yenabutt Girlyhyena and my friend Colleeto5 to see if they wanted to make a Saturday day-trip back up to Novi because neither had ever been to a con! We had so much fun we ended up finding a place to sleep with a friend and stayed until Sunday evening.

It's amazing how much an awesome community can help make hard times better. MCFC turned my week from bleak and sad into one of the best I've had. I /WILL/ be coming back next year, and this time with all the intention humanly possible!

So anyways, I have a small collection of footage and a collection of pictures to sort and edit... Most pictures will probably be submitted collages of 4 to combat spamming.
