So today, I started my senior year of high school, at SRVHS, home of the Wolves. Sadly, last night, one of my classmates, Robert Orlando, died in a car accident. He was a passenger in a Honda Prelude, with two of his friends. Apparently, the driver lost control, smashed into a fence, and then the car got wrapped around a tree, causing Robert's death. I was friendly with Robert; he sat next to me in Precalculus last year. He was an extremely kind person, and would use class time to even help me study at the last minute for Spanish tests, since he already had taken the same test a few hours earlier. He was only 17 years old, and could have had a great life ahead of him. Instead, he died the night before starting his senior year. No drugs or alcohol were involved, so my best guess is that the car's speed was well above the speed limit of 25 MPH. I'm not 100% sure why I'm putting this here, but I am. It shook me up pretty bad when I found out who it was.
