Michael Bay please take note: This is how you make a giant robot movie!

Just came back from the film with some friends and we had such an awesome time with it, for such a simple concept it's one hell of a roller coaster ride but with a lot more meat around it's bones than one might expect. Incredible visuals both CGI and practical effects plus the immense scale of it all some of the scenes if almost all of them are pure eye candy to behold. Del Toro put a lot of his passion and ideas in this and it shows.

Anybody with just a shred of appreciation for huge robots/mech and titanic monsters this is one movie you cannot afford to miss out on!
