Apparently the government is trying to pass a list of "acceptable" pets and domestic animals. If this bill passes, any animal that is not listed, will be collected and "destroyed". Animals specifically not on the "acceptable" list include all reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, insects, all birds but canarys, all fish but gold fish, rats/mice, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas, degus. These animals would be collected and destroyed. I am not making this up and it is not some idiot trying to get attention. it is an actual bill being put through the passes.
