Went to a Games Convention..........

........NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!
We went to one of the biggest video game conventions in Holland today and it was an eye opener for me.
Nothing but lines to play the games, and with lines I mean waiting over half an hour before it was your turn, oh did I say 30 minutes, no those were for the small games, no for the big titles it's not uncommon to stand an hour or even 2 fricking hours just you could play the game!!!
Place was overcrowded and loud, also it was such a sausage fest and for that I was so disappointed to see so few girls there aside from the booth babes, which let me tell you I have become to hate with a passion. Hordes of 16 year olds trying to get their picture with these skimpy dressed hussies, I was appalled how shallow the game industry still is, come one guys this is fucking 2012, we still rely on these outdated sales methods? Not only that but they don't add anything to the place like some of the rare found cosplayers did.
My poor girl had to wait for 1.5 hours to play Assassins Creed 3, when it was her turn the lady actually asked her "Oh so you are here to play as well?" Words cannot describe just how pissed I am at that, yeah imagine a girl playing games............While the average person was allowed to play about 8 minutes she only got to play for about 5 minutes before she had to make way for the next guy.
It also held no games I was actually interested in let alone stand in line for over an hour, hell huge amounts of people did that just to get a poster......A freaking Poster!!! The only place I wanted to check out was the X-com booth but sadly it was the demo that was already out on Steam for quite a while, plus the only people there were fucking booth babes!!!!!!
I feel so sorry for my girl who had arranged the tickets so we could spend a little quality time together but man it was such a bust and I don't blame her for that. She did get to see some cool Assassins stuff and she got me a cool N7 keychain.
But never again........Never ever ever ever ever....
