Hyenas aren't canines!
To be honest it tires me a bit to see so many people putting them in the canid section, when they're uploading drawings, photos and stuff.
They build their own family named hyaenidae, so they aren't related to the canidae family in any way, as well as they're aren't related to the felidae family.
Also african wild dogs aren't hyenas. They sure look similiar to them and they live in Africa too, but african wild dogs belong to the family of canidae.
Not a rant, I just felt to mention ist :>

they got their own family in the feliformia group, that's true...but they are cat-like animals... I know that from Wikipedia
aber wenn das wort katze fällt, denken viele ja an typische großkatzen oder an hauskatzen...
