[WARNING: Possible spoilers, at best rumor]
Siliconera has once again leaked some new info on DS3. I have my reservations that they actually have a mole or whatever in EA leaking news to them or if they're just making shit up, who knows. The latest gossip they've dropped on the net entails the reason Isaac has traveled to the previously mentioned ice planet of Tau Volantis as well as his mental state.
I already warned you of potential spoilers so if you don't want ANY of the story revealed until you play, don't read further. That said, Apparently DS3 begins with Isaac being presented with the choice to face EarthGov for a warrant of arrest he has acquired or go to rescue a woman, presumably Jennifer who was mentioned in the last update, from Tau Volantis. Obviously he opts for saving her over arrest.
Also revealed is that Isaac's mental condition has deteriorated to the point that he now has a split personality and actually encounters a "Shadow Isaac" who throughout the game berates and mocks him.
Not entirely sure how I feel about the whole Shadow Isaac thing, if anyone can do it tastefully I'm sure Visceral can pull it off. Again, these are at best rumors since no one knows if Siliconera really has someone in Visceral/EA, so take it with a grain of salt. If true, it's pretty interesting, if not, the game should still be good.
