Me? A Jackalope?

I've been chatting with my friend 
Renard De Fleureaux and the topic of Eli as a species came up. Apparently he has some positive "deer" qualities in him, which made me think about combining them with his rabbit side and making a Jackalope. I've been giving it some thought and, honestly, the change intrigues me.
I'd like to hear some of your guys' thoughts and opinions though. Should Eli become a Jackalope? Let me know what you think.

It would also give his magical powers (assuming he has some x3) an explanation somewhat grounded in human mytholgy, and it would just make so much sense. The big bun stud is already a hot buck. ;3
Maybe he wanders around civilized areas looking for mortals to play with. >//> Or somethin'. x3
