My activity and/or presence from this date onward, until further notice, may become sporatic and brief.
This isn't a serious issue. Rather, I have decided to begin working on a singe-player modification for Half Life 2 which I'd been developing the concept for for a number of months now.
At this stage, the project is solo while I develop the map layouts and base configurations. But I will be seeking contributors at a later date.
As such, no offers of assistance/participation will be accepted at this time, but interest in participating/contributing is welcome for later consideration.
I will likely put up some WIP material such as screenshots and renders in time, however the bulk will be reserved for presentation on the project website when it is established later.
When I have more free time to sit and write it out, I'll put up a brief on the overall concept and features of the modification in a journal.

A good example are the various mods that feature Adrian Sheperd or Barny or stuff like more weapons for regular HL2 and all these things.
The thing is, that I saw many good mods going down the drain and the people doing it had experience and where modding since forever, but sometimes unexpected things happen you cant control.
Mostly, the problems come up in the team. People with diffrent opinons and ideas come together and there are always discussions how to make it.
I dont know what maps you made and at what mods you ever worked. Its all good and fine that you tell me you map since doom and mos since quake, but if I never ever saw what you did I cant tell how experienced you really are.
Also, I´m not a modder, I see it form a more general viewpoint. As I said, at my side, nothing came beyond the idea or the concepts at all.
Listen, buddy. I'm sorry you're too unmotivated to actually do some damn work to impress upon others that you actually can hold it together to get a team up to get one of your mod ideas off the ground, and I'm real sorry you can't take the time to learn some of the skills required to give it a decent go on your own, but here's the deal.
As much as you might like to believe that, despite your complete LACK of experience, you are an officianado, you do not possess any authority on the subject. The simple fact is, you know precisely: jack shit, of which you speak, and it is clearly demonstrated in your words.
Here's a little stunner for you. For every project that starts WITH a team, two more start with a single person's work. Furthermore, and more importantly, some of the best mods for HL2 out right now, not the LEAST of which would be without a doubt, Metastasis 2, was producedly ENTIRELY by a single individual.
Furthermore, again, I clearly denoted, the project is solo -at this time-, while I lay out the general map design and base configuration scripts for a functional demo, you royal jackass, so that when I am ready to seek additional contributors, I will actually have a functional demo of the mod ready to present them with. But of course, if you had bothered to actually read, you would have already seen that.
And even then, if you had actually payed attention to what was said, you wouldn't have had an excuse to vomit out this bullshit to bolster your own ego by trying to stand on someone else. But here's the kicker - you chose the wrong person to try it with.
Now, unless you're done being a bloody moron, shut the hell up.

Are you able to give out specific details or are you keeping it tight lipped until you want to reveal more? I have to say you're piqued my curiosity on this =)
Yes, it is a story-driven modification. The inherit genre direction is "first-person survival", the gameplay and flow is compromised of sporatic conflict between puzzle-solving and general survival progression.
The modification's atmosphere and stylization direction is influenced primarily by Silent Hill and Doom 3 with a fondness for McGee's "Alice" mixed throughout.
Put simply; it's a psychologically-focused atmospher first-person survivor.
I look forward to seeing more of this as it progresses. You never know, it might be good enough that Valve want to buy it and charge people for it =P
But either way, good luck with the modding. Are you planning on putting WIP screenshots into your gallery during development?
I'm going to coax my spouse (furball) into doing a mock box-art image, which I'm sure she'll want to post here anyway.
