I assume you are like me and like to jam while you draw. What do you listen to? I like to use pandora.com in the background while I'm drawing and make stations from bands like Bond.

I was asking the same question via Twitter today, and some friends pointed me to the psychill channel from http://www.di.fm/ , it's really nice!
I normally listen to Anime or game OST all the time or stuff I find by accident, but I tend to sing along and don't really concentrate on drawin ^^;

My "Bond" station tends to be that way. It's playing Saruman's theme from LOTR right now.

Oh I'm ALL OVER the place. XD Last.FM has all my particulars - I use the player chrome extension. But I've recently fallen in love with Andy Grammer and most of his stuff is only on YouTube. Which is another place I have certain particulars I listen to, like Kate Nash, Ellie Goulding.

And for the gamer in me, I frequent flashygoodness.com. This guy is going to school for music and puts together his own retro game music tracks. It's just fantastic.

classical or instrumental songs usually get me into a working mood. Makes it easier to mold something using the music.
I can work with music with lyrics, but it can be a bit distracting sometimes paying attention to the lyrics and singing while drawing lol.

I try to avoid lyrics unless the song specifically is inspiring the image.

Depends on how inspired I am, I usually just let my playlist run, which can be anywhere from pop to heavy metal to orchestral to game music. If I'm in a particular mood I'll hop around between 'caches' of styles.

Whatever happens to be the song that inspired me, I'll listen to that on repeat for a while until it bores me. Then, I listen to the rest of the album. :)

I either listen to a Rap/hip hop/modern station in Boston called Jamn' 945 or I listen to this icelandic band called Mezzo Forte they do funk, ska, fusion, and rock. They are so damn good

I add individual songs to a growing 'drawing' playlist because I notice that I tab and change channels too much whenever a song I don't like inevitably pops up on those internet radio services. The tabbing usually leads to "Oh, I should probably check email/twitter/tumblr... WHERE DID THE DAY GO?!"

Though there is a LOT of Bond on my playlist as well...

I use my Itunes of classic TV, Movie, and Video Game Soundtracks to listen to. Some of them are often ones I need to draw a scene.

Granted its when I write instead of draw. But I'm a huge fan of atmospheric sounding pieces like the band She Wants Revenge, not very much change from song to song, but it has a good, intense feel that helps me focus.

Although Bond is definitely a good choice. I love that group!
