Way to drop the ball guys.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3... we need to talk. It's suddenly looking like I won't be spending as much time with you as I originally thought. I love ya, but your online is ass.
Just these last couple days I tried taking this game on Xbox Live. Online mode is absolute garbage! Lag even on 4-bar connections and that's assuming I can even get a match to begin with. Ninety percent of the time it fails to connect and half of that time it logs me out of Xbox live completely for some damned reason. And the ranked options suck too. Click search and cross your fingers. You can't even do custom searches and look through a list of results like in SF4. You fight a person with bad ping you're shit out of luck.
Way to drop the ball on the game's single most important mode Capcom. What the hell? Now it's not the worst online I've ever played in a fighter but I guess this one especially stings because all the buzz leading up to release about good netcode was PR blowing smoke up our assess. The overall lack of offline modes to means that unless netcode is patched, this game is going to be in almost the same boat as King of Fighters XII. *shudders*
When Virtua Fighter 5, a game released by Sega on Xbox as an afterthought, has better netcode than you there is a problem. As it stands, Blazblue is still the best fighter as an overall product on the market and its online is great. I'll probably go back to it in a couple weeks which is disappointing to say the least. More people need to follow the example Bamco is setting with that Dragonball game using GGPO. GGPO is the benchmark of good online for fighters.
I can't believe I'm saying this but depending on how it turns out I may actually end up playing Mortal Kombat 9 more than MvC3. I think I feel dizzy now.

Or Marvel Capcom PS3 servers have less people. Since this is multiplatform
release I find more people go for 360 versions over PS3 versions. In most cases,
not all.
And Angry Joe pointed out the online problems on the Xbox-360 version.
I saw that review. I don't entirely agree with it but his complaints with online are valid.
I enjoy playing with friends but I actually am rather competitive in fighters. I participate in local tournaments so I like having the option to fight random people better than me. Gives me the opportunity to develop my skills. =3
But seriously, the online is a turn off, capcom promised a patch though
