There are several good bbq places in the Rio Grande Valley. For example, one of my bro-in-law's uncle owns one that mesquite smokes its own brisket and chicken, but that's a good hour and a half away. Here in town there's one [two?] excellent [but expensive] places for the stuff.

Expensive isn't an issue. We're splurging. :p

Echoing MainLion, there's also a Dinosaur here in Rochester. However, I suggest a slightly lesser-known place called Sticky Lips. Better barbecue and side dishes, IMHO.

But echoing MainLion again, this isn't usually a place one comes during the winter. I hope you like cold and snow. :)
