Update, commissions etc... (Nov 3 2024)

Some notes about things in the upcoming weeks...
* Reopening for commissions soon - With my announcement to reopen soon two potential clients have sent project proposals to me via PM so far . They both sound good, they both would show things that I'm into and one of the potentials said they've waited a long time for me to be available. When reopening happens I'm going to let my D 20 decide which one goes first by having each one choose a number between 1 and 20, roll the D20 and the one who chose closest to the number rolled gets to go first.
Here's what's happening with my art in the coming month...
* Current - Finish the new image in production at this time.
* Next - Hold a short Bluesky raffle, do the artwork for it, ( planned to this a month ago but late to do it ).
* Thirdly - Reopen commissions later in the month and have all potential clients do a "magic number" contest to determine who goes first.
* Local hobby show - Kinda bummed out today, (Nov 3rd) there's a local hobby show that I used to go to for several years in a row but can't anymore. Its moved further away and travel to that location would be almost 3 hours one way. It used to be in a place that was an hour away but got moved when the original space became too small for it to stay there.
* Clock changes - Hate them, a useless and outdated ritual that needs to be gone a.s.a.p. In the fall its easy to go back an hour but in the spring when you have to go ahead again you pay for it. Our local government was supposed to get rid of the time change 3 years ago but its been put on indefinite hold so no end in sight to this bi annual nonsense.
* Thursday's power shut off - Will be shut down and offline for the entire day. Hoping that the weather will be dry, have already made plans for the morning and early afternoon but after that it could be several hours before power is back on again. If its dry then an outing to the beach could be done for a while and then have dinner out on the way home.
* Someone over for the upcoming long weekend - A friend that lives a few hours away wants to come over for the long weekend, they've been coming over to my place every couple of months on average. They have been talking with the manager that runs this place about moving in to the building but the wait list to get in here is probably quite long so I don't know if they'll get the empty suites that we currently have.
