The Teal Mask [mild spoilers]

So, got through the Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon SV. Gotta say that was damn fun and very entertaining. The story is fun and the NPCs are a riot, specially Carmine.
It’s not a long story, if you buckle down to get through it you could portably mow through it in a day. Specially if you’re using your main team from the before the DLC that’s probably OP at lvl 100.
I took some time to build a new team out of majorly returning Pokémon, keeping only one lvl 100 on my team as my ace just in case things got hairy, and it was blast, battles took a bit longer and I actually experienced a fair number of near defeats as well as a couple of outright defeats.
Carmine is an absolute delight of a character, she’s kind of like Nemona 2.0, and I hope to see the two interact with the next half of the DLC. She’s a battle junky, maybe not exactly on Nemona’s level, but she’s also intense in a really fun way. Her character also further makes me feel that Pokémon is getting to a point where it would benefit from having voice acting.
The game still has optimization issues, specially when the switch is in docked mode. Though docking to a monitor rather than a tv might alleviate some of that issue, maybe, something to test out I think.
The loyal 3 are fun too, one of them is I think the first poison/fairy type that we’ve gotten so far, which is pretty cool.
And Ogerpon is adorable and hits pretty damn hard.
There is a group of trainers spread throughout that are competitively built with EVs, IVs, held items, not sure on HAs but wouldn’t shock me.
Teal Mask content was very fun and I’m looking forward to the Indigo Disk in the winter.
