Those of you who keep an eye out for my work or word of it may have noticed I haven't been active in the wake of opening and completing some of my commissions. Those of you who are on my Discord will know the reason for this is a bit heartbreaking.

Last week my Dad had broached the subject with me on making a trip to Florida to see my Grandma for what may be the last time as she was declining in health. On Saturday however we were made aware that she had not gotten out of bed all day Friday and wasn't getting out of bed on that day as well. And more to the point she was asking to see her sons. We were going to make the trip n Monday but we determined it was an urgent enough reason to pack our things and IMMEDIATELY get on the road.

I got to see my Grandmother in person for the first time since before COVID, and also the last as she passed away on Tuesday afternoon.

As of writing this journal I have only just gotten back from the road trip over several states and back to handle things, and I'm absolutely drained. Emotionally I'm actually alright, hopefully - I was prepared for this day. However I'm physically exhausted as the trip down was 19-20 hours in itself but the trip back so close to labor day ended up being over 24 spent mostly sitting in a car with no sleep.

I'm going to rest for today, and tomorrow I'll see about working on some commissions and sorting what I've gotten.
