Thinking about making a Telegram art channel, would anyone be interested?
Also, what sites do you use generally for viewing/sharing art? :3c I know twitter is the big thing atm but I'm no good at keeping up with scrolling through posts aha

Twitter, telegram and discord are just awful
I'm on the fence about telegram but I don't wanna just rely on twitter :V
Janitors don't vote on pictures; they accept or reject. If an upload is too borderline in some way that they don't feel they can accept it nor outright reject it, they can give an opinion that they think the post isn't relevant or lacks sufficient artistic quality without outright rejecting it (this is likely what JusuSama means by Janitors giving votes) and basically pass the buck to another approver who may or may not agree. Unapproved uploads with and without opinions are auto-rejected in 30 days, and are for the most part posts nobody could decide whether to approve or deny.
Users aren't punished for rejected submissions unless one considers losing a point on their upload formula (a base level of 10 uploads plus 1 upload for every 10 accepted posts minus 1 upload for every 4 rejected posts) to be a punishment. It would take 40 rejected posts and no accepted ones to entirely lose your initial 10 uploads. If something like an artist Takedown clobbers your upload limit into the negatives, you can always message an admin and they can manually adjust it for you. On the other hand, if someone is a problem user, admins can take away one's uploading privileges to prevent troublemaking, but this is rare, and the user can protest it (although if it's come to this point, the loss of uploading privileges is undoubtedly justified).
The last one has a tagging system that blows everyone else out of the water, although one needs to remember it's based on Tag What You See (Not What You Know). Despite the common perception, e621 is not billed as a porn site, but as a furry art archive that has quite a bit of Explicit works on it. About half of its posts are actually either Safe or Questionable in rating, and creepy behavior can and will get one penalized. It also has an alternate version called e926.net which is basically only all of e621's Safe posts.
and that's why I'm not sure about making a telegram channel, since it's mostly a messenger app :'3
I'll be sure to make a post if I decide to make the telegram channel!
I've heard of mastodon, seems to be growing in popularity~
Lots of official artwork for various video games and card games can be found there, so it's pretty neat to check out.
The main issue is with lossy compression. A lot of websites people like to use for art compress the art and make it blurry and low-quality. It bothers me that so many artists post exclusively to Twitter, Telegram, and/or Firaffinity because they all use lossy compression.
I would love to follow you on Telegram, just please find a place to put your full-size art and link to it!
If you're interested in full size images, I have pwyw art packs on my digital store~ https://payhip.com/ccartcomics
Thanks for your input <3
