It is... they are getting more smarter by generation... I thought scammers worked only on old people, who are trustful and doesn't know the Internet very well...

Dang that sucks. Just remember being too jaded is bad for many reasons and being too trusting is dangerous. Try not to lose trust in humanity as a whole, the vast majority of us are good but probability is a bitch and if 5% of people aren’t trustworthy then 1 in 20 people that your leaving yourself open to being taken advantage will probably want to screw you over. I think the number is much smaller than 5% but with the number of people we all interact with and the subtle tricks they use makes it hard to avoid getting screwed on occasion.

Money is one thing, I honestly losing the trust in people lately, specially with last world events...

Maybe it's different in the EU or where you live because I can definitely charge back transactions on my Debit Card. Try going up the ladder and complaining more. There might even be a government body you can complain to?

So sorry to hear that man, it’s sad what people will do just to scam money out of people stringing them along for days and sometimes years. Really sucks to hear that you were scammed but just remember there’s a lot more good people out there than bad.

Thats why you should always look up any website that your not familiar with before you make a purchase on there, no matter how innocent it may look, especially if it's sent from someone that your just barely acquitted with. There's plenty of good people out there, but you can run into a few rotten apples as well.

By my own experience, the rate of good/rotten people are 50/50...

I won't get my money back, the bank can't do anything and our police are the worst...

Not so long ago my brother received a phone call, they actually called him by his name and last name, his e-mail and told him, someone registered a crypto-wallet on his name, so he got to go on that website... though he was smarter and just started to play an idiot.

Ah I know how this feels. I got scammed through a text earlier this year. They hijacked the phone number that the NHS uses to send you Covid alerts and I was asked to buy a test kit on a fake website. The only thing that saved me; I was so broke there was nothing in my bank account to steal

Wow, sorry dude. Thanks for posting it, we can all learn from this to be ever vigilant. You would think the bank should have been able to help or the police would open an investigation. I do computer service calls and I have seen more of these not just happening but the bad guys winning when the victims don't seek help soon enough over shame or shock. Case in point, a client of mine, a wealthy retired artist from a major pharmaceutical company called me recently asking me about charges she had on "Paypal", it turned out she was directed to a mock-up of Paypal's website and she had already connected her bank account to it and some thousands of dollars had been transferred from it, together we called police and both banks involved and got it all back, had she waited until the end of the business day that would not have been possible. I do hope you can regain your faith in humanity. It might be therapeutic at this time for you to check out those who bait the scammers and turn tables on them, I support one, Jim Browning on Patreon but there are several and their Youtube videos are amazing and informative. Be careful, be good.

Can you tell which bank initiated the transfer? Your bank may be able to tell you. A call to their bank should get some more information and let you tell them that they are being used in crime. If they seem like they are in on it then a call to the police in that district may be in order. If you find out anything let me know, I might be able to get more information on them with some clues to who they are.

The bank has some agreement with MasterCard and so they couldn't stop the transaction or something.
