Terms of ServiceWARNING: Fur Crafted has a workplace that may have its materials or completed products come in contact with animals (a bird and dogs). If you have allergies please be aware of this fact. I will take appropriate measures to keep the animals' contact to a minimum. Fur Crafted is a smoke free environment.
TERMS OF SERVICE
You must be 18 years or older to order
You must be 18 years or older to commission a costume or other product. If you are not 18 years of age then you must have a parent or legal guardian submit the quote and make the payments. Proof of age may be required, such as a driver's license or state ID. If you are younger than 18 years of age I will need permission from your parent or legal guardian and proof they know of your commission.
Please note that if you are commissioning a costume for someone under the age of 18 they may outgrow their costume quickly. It is better to wait until the person is more grown before getting one. If you still want a costume after knowing this then please consider a commission.
Reference Sheets Are required
You must have an accurate picture reference of your fursuit in order to receive a price quote. The more reference and angles you have the better. If you do not have one made you can use the templates available from Fur Crafted to help you plan out your design or commission an artist to make one for you. Fur Crafted can also help create custom reference sheets for a fee.
Payments and Payment Plans
Submit a quote to get your estimated cost for a commission. Prices are based on the cost of the materials needed, how complex the character/prop design is, and what type and style of fursuit you are getting, as well as the labor. Price quotes may change with time so please submit a quote again if you do not get the commission right away. Prices may change if you decide to change elements of the commission design during construction. A price quote does not mean you are accepted for a commission.
Once your commission is accepted you will need to send a 30% down payment withing the first 2 weeks of acceptance. This payment is NON-REFUNDABLE as it is used to purchase the materials needed for your commission. All payments must be paid in full before construction of your commission can begin.
Payments will be made through PayPal. You will receive an invoice for the first payment within the first 2 weeks of acceptance. Payment will be in US dollars.
A payment plan can be arranged, but remember that construction of your commission cannot begin until it is all paid in full. Payment plans will be on a weekly or monthly basis of a determined amount.
Rush Orders
If the commissioner request, I can rush their order and move it to the top of the queue for a fee. A rush order can only be allowed if the other commissioners in the queue do not have a deadline around the time of your needed rush order. The fee for a rush order will be based on the time it needs to be done in, so if you need it in one week it will cost more than if you need it in 3 weeks.
Shipping
Shipping costs are not included in the initial quote price. The price of shipping will be determined after the completion of the commission. The base shipping cost is $50 within the U.S. If you do not live in the U.S. please contact me first so I can figure out the cost of shipping to your country. A tracking number will be available for each order.
Customer Responsibilities and Care Instructions
The customer has to assume certain responsibilities to make sure their product stays in the best of conditions, which includes, but not limited to:
-Do not use the products for anything other than their intended purpose
-Be responsible with the care and handling or your item, wear and tear will occur with use
-Properly sanitize and clean your fursuit to keep it looking like new longer and to make sure mold does not grow
-
Duct Tape Dummies are required for 3/4 and full fursuits
If you are getting a 3/4 or full fursuit then Fur Crafted requires you to make and ship in a duct tape dummy of your body. A duct tape dummy (DTD) is a way of getting accurate measurements of your body to make your suit fit properly. You can look up tutorials online for how to make your own DTD. Please send it in as soon as you are able so that we can begin work on your suit as soon as possible. Other measurements may be needed as well, such as head size and shoe size, so be sure to check out all the information in the FAQ page.
If your DTD is inadequate or is not strong enough I will need you to send another. Production of a fursuit cannot begin until a DTD is received and in good quality.
Updates on Progress
The customer will be kept up to date with their commission status and any changes that may happen to the schedule. Work in progress pictures can be sent to the customer throughout the construction process. This will help assure that the fursuit is being made correctly to the customer's satisfaction.
Please let me know if something is wrong with your costume during the construction process! Do not say something is fine if you actually don't like it. Please tell me, I do not mind fixing the issues you want fixed. Bur if you approve of the suit and later complain about not liking it then its your own fault.
If the customer chooses to be surprised by the final product and does not want to receive update photos then they understand that they will not be able to check and make sure things are going the way they want them.
Cancellations
In the event that a cancellation happens you will get a refund based on how much progress has been made so far. You will not receive the 30% down payment as that is non-refundable. The commission will be put on hold for a 3 month period in which you can still finish the payments to receive it. If after that hold period you still do not finish payments then the commission will be deconstructed and used to make and sell as another commission.
Please make sure you have the funds to purchase anything from me and that your financial situation is stable enough to do so. Do not purchase anything if you cannot afford it or foresee any financial issues or changes in your near future.
Warranty
There is a one year warranty for every fursuit to get repairs and fitting issues fixed. Please contact me immediately if there are fitting issues or if something was received with damages. After the one year there will be a charge for any fixes made. The customer will be required to cover the shipping costs to send their item for repairs.
The warranty will be voided if the costume is converted any way to be nsfw.
Terms Specific to Props
Props are a bit different from fursuits so some of the terms are different. Props do not have a warranty to fix them if damage is to occur. There is a warranty if the prop is received as a wrong item or damaged upon arrival. In the event that this happens you must contact me within the first 3 days of the item being delivered into your possession.
Custom Props: These must be paid in full before starting the same as costumes. If the item is made and you cancel it, you will only receive a 50% refund to cover costs of material and labor. The custom item will then be put on hold in case you would like to still get it. After the hold period of 3 months is up and you still do not want it, it will become available for purchase by others in the shop.
Props are not tested for the use of children or pets. They are intended to only be used as a prop for fursuiters to use or as decoration items only.
Copyrighted Characters or Items
Fur Crafted does not create fursuits or props based on copyrighted characters or objects. No characters or props will be made from shows, movies, games, or anywhere else.
I will not make a fursuit for you of another person's character. If it is found out you are using someone else's character and you did not have the owner's permission then your fursuit will be cancelled immediately. We will discuss what is going on with the person who owns the character and figure out what will happen next.
Refusal of Service
Fur Crafted reserves the right to refuse or deny any customer any service at my own discretion at any time in the commission making process. Some reasons for denial or cancellation may be, but not limited to: because of harassment from the customer, rude behavior from the customer, inability to get in contact with the customer for important info, or other reasons to be determined by Fur Crafted.
Liability
I or the business Fur Crafted cannot be held responsible for any injuries incurred while using my products. It is the wearer's/user's responsibility for their own safety when using the products from Fur Crafted. This includes, but not limited to: using items as they are not intended, reckless behavior, product faults, and failed construction or alterations on the customer's part. |
